Car mats

Post by RamoNZ »

Im browsing eBay looking at various options but haven't a clue what's actually going to be worth the money and was not.

Has anyone tried any eBay most sets? Any feedback?

Cheers.

All I will say is DO NOT buy Tesco Chinese Cheapies.......Like sheets of cardboard in cold weather. Dooohh!

Cost £15; total waste of my dosh.......I now think you need to be in the £40 to £60 range (at least)..... for carpet type.

I'm seeing these:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mazda-RX7-197 ... 2567cf36d2

Velour for £15.95, but the 'Super Velour' upgrade is £13.95 taking the total to £30. Delivery is an extra £7

Then these;

'Tailored' and 'Deluxe' £28, and the only upgrade is one for trim/edging. extra £5 for plastic and £9 for leather.

Lastly:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Luxury-Tailor ... 256fdcaa6f

These look the daddy - 'Luxury' the title and customisable edge and stiching.

Think I might go for black/Silver/Silver... Hmmm

And just for a hoot - some second hand carpet for the rear. No pic and 'needs a clean' :)

Righto - I think for the price, not too bad. I don't have anything to compare to but I'm happy with what I got.

Not tried them in the car but they look the right shape. Only obvious omission is the lack of a heel pad, so not sure how they will wear but should be fine by the look/feel - not going to be cranking the miles like the other car so not bothered too much

Edge stitching looks ok, not quite like a set of factory mats - but pretty good considering no one is looking close up

Thick pile, feels nice underfoot - not that I'd be barefoot in the car....well maybe why the heck not!

Total non slip backing, not a hint of sliding on laminate flooring

Overall - thumbs up :D
