Newbie from Oz

Post by Trailblaser »

Hi all, your forum looks very interesting, I am from South Australia, have owned an '82 series 2 for about 20 years, I havent driven it for a few years since the thermostat housing gave way, and the bolts broke while removing it, and the car has been parked in my shed ever since, now I have just started to restore it. It is a stock standard all original Australian delivered with a 12A engine, hopefully can contribute to the forum and draw on the members experience as I get into the project further. I have a couple of photos that I will attempt to post , if any one is interested.

Welcome to the Forum, we love pictures of restorations, I guess the dreaded steel worm (rust) will not be a problem.
Is a unmolested/unmodified 7 is quite unusual in Australia :?:

Hey Hobbawobba, Thanx for the welcome, yes at this early stage the plan is to keep it original, all will depend on what gremlins I find as I progress,

Hi Pete, I like restoration pics too, and yes your thoughts are about right, I dont see many unmodified at all, there is a bit of rust, but from what I can see, nothing substantial (and I hope that ends up being the case)
