Bumping an old topic.. This is probably a silly question. But would it be possible to make some new holes to match where the Moog unit holes would sit while being at the same level?

do you mean use the existing holes in the moog arm mount and drill new arms through the chassis rail? You could do this but it would be a lot of work.... the factory formed holes in the chassis rail are sleeved with steel tube which is welded into the chassis rail for extra strength.... any new holes would need to be sleeved/strengthened as well.

Ahh okay. I thought it seemed a bit too easy  But if you're handy with a welder then ! Haha. I guess it depends if the upgrade is really worth the work involved aye?

it's a good idea and if you were doing a rebuild it would be worth thinking about... but not so much if your car is mint

"Moog idler arms have an internal wear take-up spring that absorbs shock and vibration for smoother, safer movement and maximum durability. A patented pressed-in cover plate eliminates excessive play and allows for tighter tolerances. These idler arms use powdered-metal gusher bearings with grease grooves to improve performance and service life. This approach allows grease to flow through the bearing to the stud and provides a smooth, durable surface that extends service life. Moog idler arms also use a double-tapered bearing design that decreases deflection and helps preserve proper toe setting, and they have a larger bearing surface area that distributes the load more evenly."

supposed to be the bees knees but are they worth the expense? (£69.00) shipped

Doubtful as the bracket houses all the good bits.
