Hey, wotcher and sorry, somehow we managed to avoid crossing paths at the Gathering Car looks great, and how cool to have an RX-7 at your age :jealous
Core plugs (freeze plugs in American) are little metal discs that are inserted in strategic internal webs in the engine structure. The idea is they are a designed-in weak point, so should your coolant freeze (for example) or the crankcase massively pressurise then the core plug will deform or blow out rather than the actual engine shattering.

A Teeny update, fitted up the NGK leads, cheers for the link and got rid of the dangly fog lamp, used a LED bulb in the driver's side reverse light. Oh and got the aerial working. I've ordered some shiny bits too...
Boring post so some pics
Wow dude! sweet car, I'm 18 myself and have been looking for an FB for about a year now, but I'm in ireland and they're an even rarer sight over here gorgeous car and great colour to body looks like its in mint condition, I'm jealous fair play to you for rescuing it
The dark picture was at twotwenty, the others were at a meet at strensham services. It would be good to get them both together at a meet Jesse
I don't think it's mint at all, the pictures must be making it look a bit prettier
so shiny bits came.
They poke way more than I expected
My dad was uttering Carlos Fandango at me haha.
I'll either have to pull the arches or get different wheels in different offsets.
