Actually, this diff is mine now. I purchased it from my brother because he uses FD´s diff now. I tryed to find my build topic here, but couldnt find it :)

Mine has 24 splines, if I counted right ;) And if I understand correctly what you mean, it has threaded holes...

One thing really confuses me, where that guy got that diff??? Every FB diff HERE is very rare...

OK, so it's a S1/2 RX7 diff. Very hard to find in Europe. Even harder to find with that ratio, although I'm not sure you will be able to use it as it's so low.

Good score.

What a...?!?!?! I thought that my diff is s3 version, because it came from -84 FB... Only explanation is that car has been on dealer for long time. Actually, it might be because I know that gentleman who originally purchased it, made a offer to a dealer and after few months dealer announced that car is yours...

Anyways, I have that LSD 5,125 diff in my carage now. Its identical to mine. And good shape too.
But it has 26 splines. So, can I just swap 26 splines shaft into it or does it need modifications...?

Yes, I knew they are rare. Thats why I couldnt believe its true... ;)

Btw, how much they cost?

Have you seen my for sale thread here: http://rx7fb.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=1758

24 spline side gears are hard to find. Your 26 spline axles won't fit as the 24 spline axle shafts are smaller too. They are known as small axle.

You cannot put open side gears into and LSD centre, so you need 26 spline LSD side gears to be able to use it in a S3 diff.

I hope that makes sense.

Um, I think that I dont understand...

I have shafts with 24 splines(apparently my rearend is s2 version). My new lsd diff has 26. So, if I manage to find shaft with 26 splines, does it go straight into my rearend and lsd diff...?

Just noticed that both diffs have same prop shaft flange. They are S2 versions...

Now I´m very confused...

You need to check the spline count as you can mix and match the flanges.

You said the LSD has 24 splines. Now you say it has 26 splines. Now I'm confused.

Re language barrier, we can work around that with pictures 0-0

24 spline = small axle S1/S2
26 spline = big axle S3

The LSD is the same unit, but the side gears are different. You need to match the side gears to your axles.

Here they are. Only difference I can see is that spline thing. I put my 24 spline shaft to lsd diff, it just turned around there. So that 26 spline has bigger diameter too...

No I´m very very confused :D (hp)

You have a S3 LSD. You need a S3 rear end to use it, assuming the flanges are the same.

Or you need 24 spline side gears for the LSD. That's the expensive part.
