Spoddy, regarding the headlights I know some people upgrade the wiring because the wire is a bit weak, especially for brighter bulbs. I rarely use the car at night so dont use the headlights much, although being a 1985 car I dont expect too much either. But they're passable, just :)

lol, i'm just used to my rx8 headlights, they are great through the rain though.
my mx3 is a little like that, not as dim though but then i probably could do with removing the lens and polishing them up.

to be honest the some of these new bulbs are too bright and very dazzling, especially when most roads are well lit, except country roads.

i love a car with popup lights though, looks great.

Luv the photos Rich and fb looks ace. I've always preferred the chromed badge too - lucky man.

I love the random direction of the thread tho! :p just for the record as fsr as I know the headlights are totally factory on my car :D

If you look closely they should say 'Cibie'.
That's what I sourced on the net.....Same 7" items. Still in production by Valeo.

I went for HID replacement bulbs and ballasts on mine, much improved visibility.

It's funny, the previous owner struggled to sell the car because of the colour. Ended up almost giving it away! I think its one of the cars best features, especially now that retros cool :)
