But there's no fixture for a bulb or aperture for light to get through :? It's just a blind hole

On my old B reg car that Ian cut up the side lights were on permenantly on like DRL's on a Volvo. I tried loads of things to get them off and eventually discovered that unplugging that connector turned them off, very odd !

What on earth is a headlight valet switch?? Please explain otherwise it wil bug me for the rest of the evening :?

And BTW, the digi clock does have an extra wire for the dimmer.

the switch next to the heated rear window switch..... allows you to raise the lights without having the headlights on for when you wash the car.... so you can clean them without flattening the battery... the same switch works the headlamp washers too

What he said, lol ;) Only half-right, mine didn't work the washer even when I still had washers...never did work out what was broken and I guess I never will now. One day I'll even get round to stripping the tank and that out :roll:

So that connector is purely some sort of elaborate electrical bridge? That seems insane, on every level :?

Mine stay on too. Might have to give that a go and see what happens haha.

LOL It was the name you gave it that threw me but I see what you meant now. I've always meant to get around to breathing life back into the lamp washer system.. it's a shame that it's not particularly easy to get at. :(

take the offside front wheel off and the plastic wheel arch liner, it's easy to get to then
