There was so much that needed painting it seemed a false economy to not spray the entire car. At least that way it'll all match and there'll be no wasted time and effort trying to match in loads of different shades later. But yeah, ridiculous all for one li'l beaver panel
However, we're definitely on the vinegar strokes now
Body parts sanded, in clear and drying in the booth
Even though the front was only painted last year, we took the decision to re-do it, partly because the paint had cracked up a bit where filler had sunk or whatever, and partly cos I took a chunk out on a high kerb
Almost seems a shame to have to black in the bumpstrip mouldings, they look so nice in shiny body colour. But then all the trim still on the car would need to be done to match, or pulled off. And frankly, I just want it done now. So black they shall be
Looks bonkers atm with the wide wheels on but not the skirts and bumpers, they stick out miles and make it look like a beach buggy or something
Bits of trim and whatnot starting to go back on at last; that beaver panel that was the cause of all this massive time and work investiture. Still vacillating on whether it'll look good with the spoiler or not, but it's too late now. It's got to go on, otherwise there'll be nothing to hide all the holes, lol
