Hello Everyone,
My Name is Chris Carey, live in Kemptville Ontario (Canada). I have had numerous First Gen RX-7's before, but not for years. Just aquired a 1984 GS as a project car. It will be a year or maybe 2 before its completed as it needs top to bottom restoration. Compression is good and undercarriage is mint, everything else needs love. Looking forward to some great information from this site and its great to hear there is still such a large following for FB's.
Thanks,
Chris

Re: New Member!!
Hi Chris,
welcome to the forum, we have a few guys from Canada among our membership.
You will know what these cars are all about as you've owned some before. We seem to be finding that as the cars get older, we face new challenges in keeping them alive and on the road. The biggest threat is rust in the bodyshell... if your car is solid underneath then it should be happy days.... anything else can be fixed if you're handy with a screwdriver and some spanner but welding and bodywork takes plenty of skill or cash or both.
Please start a thread in the 'rides and projects' section if you get chance.... we can then all follow your progress and get inspired to start or finish our own projects.
cheers,
Ian
