those seats look the biz Adam, I want some!
Tell us the SP on those aero mirrors then. I seem to remember you bought lhd mirrors from the US and we have always been under the impression that due to the stalks, they wouldn't give the correct field of vision on a rhd car. Did you have to do any mods to them to get them to work and basically, can you see out of them!?
If they are just plug and play and work perfectly I can see a rush of orders for them from the US as they are plentiful and cheap over there.
What's the driving experience like now on your ported engine, much difference over the stock lump?

Thanks ian, i originally purchased 2 sets of mirrors off ebay and on closer inspection or rather me actually emptying the whole package out i realized 1 set had not come with mounting brackets. The other set had so i just bolted everything up, the mounting brackets were wedge shaped so i put the wider end to the top of the door. There was a stamp mark on the brackets and this put the mark upside down so im not sure if i have reversed them or that's how they originally fitted. I havent fitted up the electrics as they need wired up and just wanted to see how they looked. The drivers side is fine, i can see what i need to see, the passengers side is ok as long as i sit forward to see or sit right back in my seat. Im not to fussed about the passenger side too much can live with it. So i havent modded anything but the passenger side could be modded to get a better field of view. As for driving the car loving it, its loud and definatly drives with more urgency. :D . The carb could do with looking at and getting set up better but happy so far.

Bit of an update. Decided to rebuild carb with bigger and better parts to try and get it tuned up and running better. Changed the choke tubes, emulsion tubes, air correcter jets, main fuel jets and float needle.

The carb originally had 37 choke tubes, f11 emulsion tubes, 120 air correcter jet, 170 fuel jets and the float needle was a 200. Ive upgraded to 42 choke tubes, 170 air correcter jets, 240 fuel jets and a 300 float needle, emulsion tubes stayed the same. Got all the goodies from aldon automotive in brierley hill. Some stuff was in stock the rest was ordered and was ready for pick up in couple of days.

Wow june last year was my last update, ooopps!!!

Have been doing bits and bobs to car but our new problem child in the family has been commanding most of any spare time available.

Image

Not been able to resist a bargain managed to do a deal for the rx7 that was on ebay recently as a breaker. Standard deal me thought but it came with a few suprises. ;)
The advert said it was a running car which it is and the spare engine turns over by hand and is making encouraging noises. There was also a van full of spares of all descriptions and some hidden gems in there,

Yet another gearbox.

A wolfrace wheel, unfortunatly only 1.

Tasty spoiler.

and a pic of spare engine.

Heres a pic of the car that the seller had on ebay, i was sure i saw something in the pic that i thought couldn't be true, i messaged the seller and was dissapointed with the reply but when the car arrived i was right and it was suprise number 2 and for me the best bit of the deal, wonder if you can see what i saw!

Image

The car itself is in a quite sorry state,
