Have a 1979 rx7 rolling cage with a 13b engine that needs some work that could be handed over to me at no cost. Fun project or money pit?
5 speed, coilovers, shock tower bracers front and rear, full exhaust system, extra carbs, 2 sets of wheels, full cage, doors welded shut, ~1400lbs, 13k rpm 1.3L two rotor ported with 2" header primaries, holly 650 carb.
Not a real gear head, but have a garage and plenty of time. What do you think?
Thanks
Bewst

Welcome mate.
Get some pics up and introduce yourself. Sounds like a good starting point but depends on condition.

1979 is a Series 1. Rare cars in UK now. Surely the starting point for a rally car as most seem to be on S1 chassis? But I know 'nowt about rally cars or modded cars.
(Pity it's not just a bog standard street runner, no mods, that would be good...
...and not usually a money pit either if it's a sreet runner and the engine/body are good).....

I'm sending some sarcasm here
I want to try to get it all this weekend but if it's just gonna be a money pit, I don't want it.

As you might gather, it's a rare car to see on UK roads these days. Get hold of it first, get some pics up, then decide what to do.
No need to spend anything at the moment from what I can see.
We're just leg pulling......it's obviously got a desirability factor amongst my 'susceptible-to-anything-that-gives-extra-speed' brothers in arms on here.

Yes....mainly we are UK but all are welcome.
Where are you? (It may not be that a 1st generation Series 1 is as rare elsewhere - ours all rusted away).
