Street Nationals 11th/12th May

Post by Lucky »

http://www.streetnationals.co.uk/index.html

We have a few stand passes going spare for the Exile stand at this show. It looks to be a good one this year, last year was a great mix of machinery from the Jap Drag series cars to Yank tanks to all stuff like turbo Beetles and Euro FWD frippery. This year promises to be properly busy as well, the Pod are saying all the tarmac parking is already booked up, so if you want to go you'll want a stand pass or you'll be in the swampy field!

There's a great turnout from FDUK and some of us from Exile as well (mostly for the Sunday), so you'll have plenty of rotary interest. If you want to bring along your own rotang then get in touch with me quickish and I'll post you a pass. The pass is free of charge, but you'll need to get your own admission ticket on the gate.

Anyone who hasn't registered on Exile want to put there name down for this?? I think we might have a couple of places going spare. FDUK have something like 30 cars confirmed! Should be an awesome event from a Rotary point-of-view! 8-)

Anyway heres my contribution to the pictures collection for the benefit of those not there...

First off, the RX3 that appears to have an ever increasing queue of potential owners ()
Image

Doesn't get more Exile than selling the gear knob of a rotor still in use.
Image
Image

Glad you got home okay anyway dude.

Couple more shots from the Exile stand, speaking of which - good effort on the turnout lads. 8)

Mmm vents....
Image

Mmm sticky rubberrrr....
Image

Pair of fine asses, both belonging to impeccably presented cars
Image

And Adam's S2 looking as mean as she sounded
Image

The rest of the show was a mixed bag, mainly carpark crews with a smattering of American muscle and the suchlike. The baseline of modifications was either a stupid amount of stickers or this.
Image

So I'll just show my favourites....

Plenty of Dagenham produce on show and on the strip

For those of you with a penchant for muscle, have a metaphorical car based crow bar.

Ran an 8 straight off the trailer

Plenty of VW's having a crack, this one my favourite

Sweet Caddy...

The RWYB bringing out a few sense of humours  19 second Disco, sounded good though.
Image

And last but not least Uncle Timmy launching for his 11.5 with the Line Lock still on. Brutal car.

Image

And speaking of brutal - Rob's FD pretty much covers all bases.

Thats it for me, I'll leave the entertaining commentary to Nik.
