Although this is the FB forum I'll go ahead and start with the introduction of my FC TII convertible as I have this since 2001.
I've bought this car as a completely stock vert and during the past years i've modified it to where it is now. It's probably the fastest FC Vert in the Netherlands (not that hard with just about 25 verts registered in The Netherlands) and it was recently taken care of by Pip at WGT, I actually picked it up just over a week ago. It now has just over 300 RWHP, which is pretty scary at these cold and wet roads!
Now about the FB!
My first RX-7 was actually an '83 FB back in '98, it was in a poor state and I had to do a lot of mechanical work on it. On top of that I had it completely resprayed after I sanded it down to the bare metal (which I will never again do myself!). I sold this one in 2001 when I bought the Vert, I never regretted this as I didn't have room for two cars back then, but I never got the FB out of my system. As the years passed on I got unit which made it possible for me to have two cars stored and thus it was inevitable that an FB would mine again. In march 2012 I came across a solid '85 FB and didn't hesitated to buy it. My FB was sold new in the Netherlands but it has been with the dealer until 1989, it's first registration was actually october 1989 which probably makes it the last originally sold FB in the Netherlands. It was the top of the line version with the two tone exterior, the removable sunroof, electrical windows and mirrors and a LSD.
Besides the usual maintenance, I've fitted US spec side mirrors and US spec "plate" between the rear lights moving the numberplate below the rear bumper. It leaves two holes in the bumper where the numberplate lights used to be, these will be closed up when the car gets a full respray (not in the near future though).
Well here comes some pics:
