Hi, Sandro, welcome. You're certainly in the right place to renew your knowledge of FBs! There's an excellent thread here somewhere by Ian running through all the potential disaster areas to check when looking at buying one. Only surprise is it took you so long for the rotary bug to bite back
When I was looking for a daily driver to supplement my FD I thought long and hard about all the possible cars I could get... and the only sensible choice came out as an FB

Re: Hello From Westchester County ,NY
Thanks Very Much Lucky ! ....Just curious why do you refer the RX7 to the "FB" ...???

FB was series two and three RX-7 although series one are often lumped in together despite being SAs. FCs were series four and five and FDs were series six and seven. All RX-7s but different Mazda model codes. I tend to refer to mine as "the" FB simply because I've got an FD as well and I've got in the habit to differentiate which specific RX-7 I'm talking about

A little picking of the nits here Nik (Poirot's on in the other room).
The UK SA designation actually went slightly into the S2 range. The first VINs of the 1st Generation were SA22C.
Then around 1980/1981 the range designations were restructured by Mazda and the UK Series 2 was changed part way into the run......to VIN's beginning JMZFB.....stands for Japan, Mazda, Model FB. The UK series 3 then continued as type FB until the 2nd generation FC's came out.
Little grey cells worn out now.
Sorry Sandro, Poirot is a comical 1920's Belgian detective we get on TV over here....do you know of him?
