The Latest 1st Gen British Isles Location List

Post by ian65 »

here's Daves latest 1st gen location list...
If you have any info for Dave or spot anything that needs amending please let him know either on this thread or by PM to 'codge' if you prefer

For our new members, this downloadable version is only a snapshot of the wealth of UK 1st gen info that Dave has recorded and collected over the years...... nearly all known UK 1st gens, plus the sales of, are recorded in his register so if you have any queries regarding a particular car, please pm him..... likewise if you know of any registration numbers that may not yet be logged, he'd love to hear from you.

A big thanks to Dave once again for all his hard work maintaining this excellent database.... top work mate! 0-0 s(c)

Thanks Ian. It's nice in pdf form.

Just so new members know it's a location list of 1st Gen RX7's, SA and FB that are complete - road running, rally, unlicensed or on SORN.

The key thing is that they are all able to run or to be restored......once a car is noted as scrapped or posted as a parts car they go into a different file. They can be pulled back at a moment's notice though if required.

The location file doesn't differentiate between 'on road', 'rally' or 'off road' because some cars keep dancing about as the owners tax or SORN them. That's fine and I try to keep up with this in the main files but it's tricky to keep on top of that aspect of the register.

Well, over all the 1st Gens I've got 105 Taxed/Rally and 226 SORN/ Unlicensed. There are a few 'Not Founds' that we know to be real cars in there as well.

But that's for all of UK including Northern and Southern Ireland (Hence most of the 'Not Founds').

You have to be wary of these charts I think.....easy for a clerk to assume an RX7 is just the same across all the generations.
But getting there......must keep on the headache pills.....must keep going.

Didn't explain....a 'Not Found' means the Reg Number doesn't pop up on DVLA database......Again not foolproof since I tried to check out a 53 plate Yaris for my daughter last year. The database said N/F, even though it was sitting there. Later the DVLA said 'Oh Yes, it's an OK car, should be on our database'....doooh!

I always knew Dave's database must be pretty amazing, heard so much about it over the years but never really thought about how much damned work it must actually represent before seeing this on here :o

I've changed the title of the thread to make it a sort of 'Sticky'.

Here's the list for May 2013. It's in PDF but I'm not wizard at using this.

As always any corrections gratefully received.

Codge (Dave).

thanks very much for that Dave, fascinating reading as usual. I notice that A181NFX, my old black Elford turbo isn't on the list...... It's still in Staffordshire with Adams (rexi84) dad.
