Re: Homer - 1985 FB

Check out the mig welding forum, retrorides too for forums with projects. SOUP classic motoring on you tube is well worth watching. I'm sure you can get a Webber to give gains on a standard port 12a if you know what your doing, I don't so can't really comment much. But as James mentioned they are he...

Looks like an S3, has S3 interior and has the S3 strut tops.
I always thought the s3 had the grey interior, what were the other options other than grey/red as above?

Re: Homer - 1985 FB

I'm torn with the engine, I've seen rebuild kits are more costly for a 12A and I would (dreaming here) like to shoehorn a 13BT in there... but, I haven't given much thought to it. I'm more familiar with 13B's which would make sense (previously had an FC), but who knows, it would boil down to where ...

Re: Homer - 1985 FB

Your advise is needed... badly. Rust and welding is the one thing I don’t have any skills with. Can anyone... in your honest opinion say it’s worth welding up and in your experiences what restoration shops would try and skin me for? Hi Craig and welcome! We all love Fb's around here so are biased r...

Re: Kenlowe Fans.... ( and other electric fan stuff )

No doubt, this was designed to allow the oil to actually reach operating temperature. However, it adds an additional heat load on the coolant within the engine itself. So it's the opposite to a cooler then and designed for emissions presumably ? Is there a simple way to junk it? I know it's conside...
