Re: The Latest 1st gen sightings

Hope to hear from him here too. For HSCC 70s roadsports championship, you could in theory use any series RX7 shell, as long as the key parts used are to 70s spec. I have been considering using my S3 as a 70s roadsports racer, but I would need a drum brake rear axle etc. 70s Roadsports has a very str...

Very cool, I'd love an S1, any idea how much it was before? It's not exactly cheap now, even if it's cheaper.

Re: E5 /E10 petrol?

98/99 is not currently ethanol free, the only one I know of that is ethanol free at the moment is bp ultimate 98, momentum and v power 99 have had ethanol in for years. £535 to change all fuel system components sounds very cheap, especially as some cars may need parts making. I don't think old cars ...

Re: E5 /E10 petrol?

Hi John, Unfortunately yes this is an issue for you. The fuel system in these cars wasn't designed for ethanol content in the fuel, so the flexible lines, plastic parts and rubber seals wont be compatible, add that to the fact they're probabaly old an perished, it's asking for trouble. Try to use fu...

Re: Danny's RX7 FB

is this a S2 RX7? The chrome peel on the housing looks particularly bad, I often see on these strip down threads the earlier cars suffer worse from this than the later cars. Mazda revised the housing plating process on the S3, although they're still not as good as the later engines.

Re: Danny's RX7 FB

1147€ a piece! when they are availble... plus shipping. Expensive! and you need an rebiuldkit as well. yes but that's for new parts, don't compare with some old knackered 13B. If you already have a 12A, sure it would cost a lot getting new housings, but a rebuilt 13B wouldn't be much cheaper by the...

Re: Danny's RX7 FB

You can get 12A housings from atkins, they machine down 13B housings.
