adjusting handbrake
adjusting handbrake
I know simply job i should know how to do it but cant see to find where to adjust it from, going to have a good look on the weekend would save me some time if anyone could give me some tips

Have a feel around the handle. There's a nut that fits over the end of the cable where it meets the handle tighten it and it will pull the cable up.
It should self balance, unless something is binding. You can grease the grommets under the car if it is binding.

unscrew the plastic cover from around the handbrake lever and you'll see the adjuster

If its not holding well I would be looking at the caliper end.
Make sure the levers on the calipers are returning to the stop when the handbrake is off, could be the lever siezing.
If it only needed adjustment it would still hold well but with the lever in a higher position.
