My two SA's

Hey, so for the benefit of those of you who don't know me from Exile I'm the owner of NEV the Maya Gold/red & yellow Series 2 running a Series 4 13BT, he's quite rapid, and dang unsociable when it comes to comforts but provides more fun than you can legally have with your clothes on.

Unfortunately recently he got attacked by a hillbilly in a Toyota Hilux who tried overtaking me whilst I was turning right at some lights and consequently ended up looking a bit wonky.

Image
Net result was superficial panel damage and a bent lower control arm

Some quick shots from straighter times...

With Safka...

Ramon in mapping mode...

Noisy bit...

Anyway, he's showing signs of rot starting on the rear sills and needs a rest so after a couple of shows will go into the the safety of the rotorshed and I will decide what's next from there.

This leads on to the S1's. I've always wanted an S1 and have now ended up buying two.

The first one is super clean, no rust at all and is a LHD from Switzerland. She's been in Tim's shed for 12 years now, never registered over here and has only 29500km's on the clock...

Graphic EQ :D

Interior?! Whats that?!! :?

Clean sills etc

The second one is a UK car and what's best described as dustpan and brush material but is hoarding some useful bits...

Note the funky spoiler - allegedly an early Elford creation so maybe someone can confirm...

So that's it - they should be at mine within the month but I've got a few stints of working away in the meantime so it'll be soon as possible I'll be there with a trailer.

I'll keep y'all posted.

You've absolutely rung the bell with that s1...... what a car to get hold of! h[b[
I'm turning a shade of my least favourite colour!
What are your plans for it Tim, big boosted 13b ? or have you got something else in mind? I suppose all will be revealed in due course.
Looking forward to reading this thread, just looking at that instrument cluster takes me back to my series 1, the car I've most enjoyed owning out of all of them.

Great score

Not sure yet Ian, haven't even decided whether I'll swap the solid one to right hand drive when there are things like rack and pinion conversions for LHD available from respeed. This year will focus on getting her road legal to take to Holland then go from there. Whatever happens I'd like it to be as sympathetic as possible.

Give us the buzz please on that 2nd one when you get it Tim.
I know the 1st one (Unregistered) but I didn't know the other was at RX motors. Like has it a number plate or is it another of Mr White's curios?

Will do Dave, the number plate is still attached to the front bumper, just the bumper isn't attached to the rest of the car lol. Soon as I've got it I'll fill you in. There is a few customers cars there at the minute too which you may not have including a red S3 with a 13B so I'll get them when I'm there next too.

Great work with the s1s mate will be great to have another on the road hey. What are your plans with them? Is the UK car shot or could be saved? Loving the graphic equaliser in the Swiss motor I have a clarion tape player in mine which I am hoping is original but not sure. I didn't know the graphic equaliser came with the S1, thought that it was just a plastic blanking piece. Must have been an expensive option at the time lol
Good luck with the project man, looking forward to he right up

Clarion Radio Cassettes were standard issue, certainly for S3's. Mine's still alive and shouting.....I feel a poll coming on.

Clarions were used from RX2 onwards
