Hiya. Some of you on here already no me and my rotary exploits from Exile or retro-rides forums. I'm on here as there seem to be a few with Elford turbos plus Ian has helped me out plenty in the past- hopefully I can help others with what I have learned through trail and error.

My Elford turbo setup is attached not to a Rx7 but instead a 1968 Vauxhall Viva...

If interested you can read about the build here..

I would love it if we can get hold of Malcolm cole etc from the early days of the Elford as I have questions.

Hey Alex!
Welcome aboard mate, great to have you join the forum.
All Elford experts are greeted with open arms here!
That 12a looks like it belongs in that Viva engine bay.... it looks better than the original lump! Great work.
After us saying last year when doing the Elford conversions, that it would be great to be able to talk to someone who was involved at Elfords back in the day, what a coincidence that Frank Elford should join the forum.... hopefully we can finally nail how that ignition control unit works and any mods to the dizzy.

cheers,
Ian

Cheers fellas- its nice to have a collection of Elford info in one place for sure. And over time google searches for Elford will automactically send people this way :)

I still have that Elford "ECU" sitting here for you Ian. I'm just trying to think of something useful I can swap it for.

Hmmmm- Elford front spoiler on a Viva?.... 8-)

Hi Alex

I'm originally from Wellington and have been over here for almost eight years. I have just spent the last 20 minutes or so getting totally lost inside your Viva World after reading the build thread. Really the most excellent read. And loving the pics of tools hanging up on the wall, I really do miss my garage. And I really do miss home now................. Anyway, cool to have another Kiwi on board and keep those pics coming bro.

Dave.
