12A S3 Engine Re Build

I have taken apart a S3 NA engine with the intention of re-building.
I have found the Housings/Irons/Bearings & Shaft were all Scrap

I intend to make a build thread but will also need to ask a lot of what will seem like stupid questions. If anyone has any advice please shout because I do not know what I do not know
I already have 2 serviceable Housings/Rotors/New Apex Seals & have recently acquired rear & central irons & E shaft + Torringtons/New gaskets/Seals.
Q1.
I have put new bearings in the Stat gears but do not know if/how if I need to make sure they are honed/matched to the shaft?

Measure your eshaft externally.
Measure your bearing internally.
Work out the difference and see if it meets spec.

Thanks for that Andy.
Next problem is one of my Housings has a raised lumpy hole, the other is flat.
How is the best way of making it flat, cut with a Dremmel and flatten with a punch?
Also what is best to fill the hole with? Exhaust paste/Fire Gum or some other filler?

maybe I'm imagining it but the exhaust ports look different shapes? can you post a pic of the inside surface? I'm not sure about the lump in the sleeve though, maybe take it out?

Both ports are same size & in same position inside - "maybe take it out?" do you mean the sleeve?

I believe that the sleeves are emissions related, as are the small ports underneath. So for UK purposes, they are not strictly necessary and even less so if you've removed the rats nest vacuum rubbish.
Mister TOOL will most probably have the answer as to leaving it be or whatever

Exhaust port now sorted:-
Removed this by drilling out both Pinch Pins in side of housing:-
Replaced with a standard from a shot housing:-
Housings, Irons & Cover now nearly ready to start rebuild of spare engine

At the moment it is like a lot of Cars & MCs that get taken to shows - there are No working parts inside
