Series 3 - Left side window motor...

Hello!
If anyone has that laying around, my window motor on the passenger side (RHD car) is dying on me. It's gotten VERY slow.
So I'm looking for one that would work fine.
I live in Japan, can pay through Paypal.

Cheers,

Flavien

Are you sure it's the motor, try lubricanting the side runners as this worked on mine.

Hum, I'm not sure indeed, so I'll give it a try first then

It may not be the motor. Try taking the switch apart and cleaning it. Makes a huge difference. I've done it.

OK so I oiled the hell out of everything in there, but no luck, the motor still seems to be struggling...

And i don't think the switch would have anything to do with that. Switches work very well, it's just the motor that is very slow and that struggles. But it starts and stops at will...

Yes but if the switch is clogged with burnt bits of dust and spark residue it will increase the switch resistance. Once the circuit is made this could perhaps drop the voltage to the motor, so less ummmmph.

And these motors seem to give very little trouble themselves. (Over years of Forum reading not many failed motors).

It would also be worth taking off the door cards & greasing the regulators & cogs etc as they go dry as well.

It won't really help this issue.. but I installed some window relays a couple months ago as posted on ausrotary. Should stop the switches gunking up. I did time them, as I heard it helps them go faster - which it did. The times are written down in my old phone though haha. Pretty glad overall!
