Hello there, can anyone help me please, my mind is boggled with all the info on shocks and where to get them! I have a set of lowering springs, but would like to put new shocks on the car. Has anybody got some tips on what makes to get, and any Internet links to a full set please? Do I really need to order them from the US?
Thanks Dave

I changed mine a few months ago with KYBs from EBAY USA. The following topic explains the difficulty with finding a seller with stock :-

There is a great explanation on How to fit the front strut inserts by Ian:-

best of luck & keep the faith

There's options depending on your budget and intentions for the car. We're you just looking for stock replacements?

Thanks for your info, I would like to fix the car up, and drop a 13b turbo Street port engine in it. I would not be racing it, but I would like to have the opportunity to take it on the track! My goal is to get it road worthy at the moment, and add to it when I have the cash. I do have a little money for it at the mo, but was hoping to get a respray with some of that! £3000 at the mo! Are the stock shocks good, or should I add a little sport to it? Thanks again for your help!

Depending on your budget there are a number of upgrade options probably more than I will mention below so if anyone has any to add (or corrections/comments) do chime in:

Coilovers
Available from ACBRON (via Austrailia from memory)

Also, Techno Toy Tuning in the US do F&R coilovers and a few other goodies

GAZ shocks - a few of the guys on here have sent their front struts to GAZ who graft the coilover to your original spindle

Retrofit from another vehicle
Some have used MR2 rear shocks for the front FB 81-85' shocks.(I have Koni adjustables on mine)
Some have used Foxbody mustang rear shocks in the FB rear (I have KYB AGX adjustables on mine)

Stock replacement
Rockauto (KYB GR2 / Monroe)
KYB Gas-a-Just?
Koni Sport (Racing Beat?)- depending on availability
Tociko Blue (Racing Beat?)- Depending on availability (these seem to always be on backorder)
