What a dream car. Can't wait to see it live. How much brainstorming Mr. RICE put into this car.

i think it is still on show in geneva.
this is very interesting and good to see more interior shots.
plenty of room for tall people and with that long bonnet/hood you would need little
cameras on the bumpers to show the road when coming out of junctions or a driveway.
but rumours are it'll be 22cm shorter than this and don't expect those wing mirrors
or large wheels. but i'd be really happy if they can keep the rear and front light design
and kuodo design. some more toys inside like the mazda 3 and 6 etc.
just make it out of aluminium and use paint as don't want any rust lol.
thanks for sharing.

New and patentet skyactive rotary seems a lot of place for turbo mounting.

Engine rotated so exhaust at the top, hence turbo at the top. It's the HCCI if it's to be used instead of spark plugs which will be interesting. Also the sky activ tech for fuel injectors. The work Mazda has done with getting higher petrol engine compression has paid off I suppose.
It's the design of the car which hopefully will have similarities to the rx vision.
I was in my local Mazda dealership and all models were there except a rotary. Hopefully we'll have a new rotary sports car in 3 years or so to partner the new mx5 as it looks better in the flesh so to speak.

Re: Rx7 vision " test the seat" Kevin Rice chefdesigner mazd
I would like to think if Mazda were confident to run with the concept at the Tokyo motor show, then they were in a position to be on target with a 2017 or 2020 release of a new rotary engine sports car.
Mazda is 100 years old in 2020, so why not celebrate in style
Rotary is the heart and soul of Mazda so they'll want to bring it back when confident it'll have more torque, lower emissions and have better fuel economy than the rx8 renny engine. I feel the renny engine was rushed into production with bad ignition coils and 12000 mile servicing intervals, 60-70 psi oil pressure, any wonder the stationary bearings suffered so much. The r3 had the oil pressure set at 95 psi so oil got around the bearings better and they added the third oil metering hole in the housings for the apex seals, a much better engine.
So a few more years and hopefully more info as we wait and see what pans out.

Fast and the furious a continuation of Dom's Mazda RX-7 in the form of the next generation concept RX-Vision.
