Hello Everyone,

I'm very pleased that I found this forum. What a great collection of knowledge and experience. My project is the restoration of my 1980 GS RX7. I've owned the car since new, actually bought it off the dealer's showroom floor. Sadly, the car has not gotten much use in the past 15 years and sitting has taken it's toll. The weather here can be hot and sunny so the blue paint is very faded. The 7 runs and my current projects for the car are to rebuild the front suspension, (all the boot joints are rotted away and the idler arm rattles if you shake it) and new front seats (the factory seat is just gone, split and torn on every seam). I also need to find a source for the exhaust tips, as the factory ones have long since rusted away.

Warm Regards,
Orange MAX 0-0

I would imagine you'll probably find some NOS items in the US. If not, there are a few listed on ebay.de They are not the prettiest or shiniest looking things but they are original

Hi Max,

Check out the Moog idler assembly spoken about on here, made in US.
We all want one instead of our ratty rubber bushed originals but they won't 'flip' for our right hand drive chassis.

So you're lucky in that respect.

Cheers
