Greetings from the Pacific Northwest!

Hello all,
I'm a proud owner of a 1983 GSL in "Renaissance Red". I've had my RX for a year and a half and it is my first rotary. It came with mould in much of the rear fabric, normal rust in the bins, a broken fan clutch (hurricane mode), and other typical automotive issues showing previous neglect.
I'm slowly building it back up. I've put new 15" wheels on it (not much selection in the 13" tire around these parts) replaced the front brakes, new vacuum hoses, still digging for a decent fan clutch, replaced leaking intake gasket, stripped out A/C and sub-zero. Next up is a new radiator and all hoses. I'm hoping to get to bushings, struts and springs before the Canadian winter kicks in.
Looks like a great forum from what I can see so far, looking forward to learning from this resource.
Charles.

Yeah man, I just joined last week because I bought my '80 the week prior and I couldn't believe there was an active forum for these cars, let alone such high activity on it. It's fantastic! Where in the Northwest are you at? I am in Mount Vernon, WA, about 60 miles south of the border.

Halfmoon Bay, just up the coast from Vancouver, about 60 miles north of the border (or 100 km as we say up here, eh). I've been through Mount Vernon a couple times on my way to Seattle, you guys sure take your tulips seriously in those parts!

Hiya, and welcome along. Be good to see some pics of the car if you get a moment? Plenty of choice of aftermarket alloy radiators in the US, and Racing Beat do silicone upgrade hoses
I'm ashamed to say almost all I know about Vancouver and its environs comes from reading Michael Slade books, so I've got the impression it rains 367 days of the year and every other person you meet is a serial killer

I'm sure not all of this is 100% accurate, lol

I've been eyeballing those RB hoses, the shopping list is coming together.
I'll get some pics up when I can. It would be great to get some feedback on what I'm doing and where to go.
Yes, it rains in these parts, quite a bit in the winter months. Seems this year not enough, forest fires are pretty bad. Raining ash two weeks ago... As far as being serial killers goes, if I let any information out I'd have to kill you.
