I'm just about to put the latest location list up on MRC.

It is an Excel File but has to upload as .doc file (for reasons I don't understand). Then after download you convert back to .xls to view it.

But on this Forum Ian....I can't upload either as .doc or .xls......the server won't let me.

Hi David.

I know you like snippets of information on FB's so here is a very small one...

You know the "unused" S3 in Scotland? It is beginning to enter into mythology / folklore, so I though I would tell you the only bit I know. I had an e-mail exchange with the owner in June 2004 and I have burrowed through by backups to find it.
The car was on Ebay and I had e-mailed to ask him what the story was. This was his response:

Naewise@aol.com

To john.ankrett@unipart.co.uk

Hi
What can I say.
I kept this car on show for a few years and then thought
it was a shame to use it since it went out of production.
It only gets taken out on a fine day washed and polished and put away again
It is now only an investment and is probably the only unused RX7 in the world
Thanks for your interest
LE

I thought I was on a hot trail for you and I tried to email him today to ask what the current situation was - but his email address is no longer in use.

So. No real information but at least I tried.
John

Wow, John, Guys....This has prompted me to finally ring the number that John Odd gave me last year

I can only say watch this space, except to say another 7 or so 1st Gens are alive and well in Scotland, including the delivery miles S3.

The owner may well be making his own introductions on here and MRC so I'll let him give you all the low down in due course....

I don't know what to say, except what a staggering conversation. To get an S3 to 26 years old with only delivery miles...... :o .......Dave

Well the owner of the new S3 sent me some pics and at the same time told me not to give out his details.I did email back though to ask if I was free to post the pics up on the Forums if he didn't want to.

He hasn't got back to me though so I don't know what to do. Suffice to say you all know what a Tender Blue S3 looks like and this one has delivery miles on it. So imagine a new one, accompanied by Sadgoth's old S2 (went to Scotland around 2004) and a boat load of S1's, some of them TWR's.

The price for the S3 could well be very serious money as the guy is keeping this as an investment. So if anyone is really serious, to the tune of £20/25k, let me know and I'll try to get you in touch.

I don't think I'm at liberty to do any more.....shame really.

It's a shame you can't post the pictures Dave as I'd like to see them and I'd imagine the other lads would too....
but you're doing the right thing.... without his express permission, I wouldn't post them either.... once they are on the net, they are in the public domain and there is no going back.
Maybe he will get back with you and agree for you to post them.... if not.... que sera.

The problem I see is that if you pay say 20 to 25K for car its one of those things that if you use it, then it devaules, so you just become the custodian of something unique.
I would want to use it, so therefore I would stick with what I already have, but Tender blue is one of my fav colours.
