Expressions of interest - FC subframe for rack swap

Hi guys,

Just a quick check if anyone might be interested in a complete FC front end for the purposes of fitting to an FB.

The subframe is not a bolt in job by any stretch but once you know what you are in for then it's not bad - I can give advice if this is something you are interested in.

The subframe is compete with a manual power steering rack - very easy to upgrade to a power rack due to most FCs having these.

Also includes:
Ferodo DS3000 pads and cross drilled discs - less than 2000 miles
Turbo 2, Aluminium 4 piston calipers
Braided brake hoses
Complete FC steering column.

Car is still whole at this stage, so the steering and brakes (and bushes etc..) can be test driven to see what they feel like and compare to an FB. I also have my FC converted FB available so you can see how things go together.

Do you know the difference in offset it gives you?

As a matter of fact I do.

It would appear that the FC front end is +20mm wider track than the S3.

That's 10mm a side that needs to be added to the wheel offset to give the correct positioning.
