Hi All,

My name is Dan and I will try to keep this short as it is my first time here. I bought a RX7 Reg BLY 700Y about 8 years ago. I started to do some work to it but stopped when I started my family, after having 2 children I am now looking to start work on it again or possibly sell it as is.
This car as far as I am aware is 1 of only 2 produced with a bespoke kit which was specially made for it and it also had a Jan Speed turbo fitted ( yes turbo!!). When I got it the guy I bought it from said he had taken the turbo off as it was too quick as he was insuring it for his two daughters to use and in it's place he had put some carbs on it off of an Aston Martin? I have never been able to get the turbo off of him which is very disappointing. I have spoken with Jan Speed who remember the car and have said that they would help me if I was to do a full restoration on it.
I will put some pictures and magazine clippings up to see if anyone remembers it?
I am very busy at the moment with work commitments so if I don’t get back to anyone straight away I apologise but I will answer you as soon as I possibly can.

Hi Dan.....that is interesting. I don't remember having seen BLY before and if there are mag articles about it we'd love to see them.

I'm noting BLY on my register as a white 1st Gen, Series 2, but if you could let me have the very rough location that would be kind. The nearest big town, city or a rough area of UK/Ireland would be fine.

The car is in Kettering Northamptonshire and i will try to put a magazine clip with a photo on as soon as i can.

This is a clip out of a magazine it is the white one at the front dose anyone remember this or have any info on it ?

Hi Dan,
welcome to the forum, that's a very rare car you have there. It'd be nice if Janspeed could help you put a turbo back on it.
