I've never seen a uk market s1 with that dire check interior, thank god.
The UK s1 interior is actually my favourite of all the 1st gen interiors.......
glad we were spared that hideous check interior.

Nah, it's OK Nik.....it would only help if someone was trying to locate their old car and they had retained the VIN No. on record......very unlikely I think.

That's a beauty Spod. Where did that pic originate?.....it's RHD and maybe a UK tax disc?
Seats aren't UK though.

Looks Aus to me. The Green border on the Tax looks like NSW.

Plus, no side repeaters! :)

yip i think it was off a site from down under. no rust and absolutely spotless so def australia :)
pity mazda wouldn't start selling new shells as these cars look really good when painted in nice bright colours and metallics.
even sections that could be welded in, then skim them and paint in a really catchy colour with a nice set of alloys as i'm getting ideas
of an fb i know but it could do with a new boot area, underneath and fresh metal in other areas.

I'll report back with photos.
Hey, did you manage to check the white S1 out and see what condition it's in? I'm after bits for mine like bumpers and a solid rear as mines badly rotten.
Cheers Simon

for sale on ebay.....this car is a proper bargain if it sells for £1500..... I saw this car at Rotorstock 2010 and it was lovely..... it was up for sale around that time but apparently didn't sell. It now boasts the JDM 12a turbo engine out of Tools JDM 12at and as far as I know, that makes it the only 1st gen in the UK with a factory 12at engine.

sellers description:

Sadly its time to put my Mazda RX-7 up for sale, i'v owned the car for the last three years or so and am only selling it due to lack of use as its only done around 3000 miles in that time. The car has been extremely well cared for and comes with a large selection of receipts and service history. What sets this car apart from most other FB RX-7's is that it is fitted with a rare 12A turbo engine which was only fitted to Japanese cars it produces approximately 165HP and unlike the UK cars is fitted with fuel injection which is far more reliable and fuel efficient. All the emmisions equipment and emmisions ECU are removed although i still have them and could come with the car if needed. The rotor housings and tip seals are in mint condition as i removed the turbo and manifold to check when buying the new engine and since then its only done roughly 600 miles so will have loads of life left before a rebuild would be needed. To improve cooling i have also fitted a later RX7 oil cooler which is plumbed in with quality JIC fittings.
The gearbox is a special turbo box which is pretty much the same as a series four FC RX7 box so much stronger and easily capable of handling the power.

The suspension has all been replaced a few years ago and is just stock replacement parts but all in perfect working order, some of the bushes would benefit from being changed but at the moment are still perfectly usable.
Bodywork has been maintained to a very high standard but there are a few sections which need attention, the rear arches are starting to bubble in places and also a small section of rust on the sunroof, the underneath is all in very good order it is by no means concours condition but has never had any issues going through MOTS. Receipts for over a 1000 pounds worth of minor paintwork repairs to keep it looking its best.
The interior is very well cared for and certainly doesn't show the cars 114,000 miles as the seat bolsters are barely worn and carpets and trim all look nearly new. The car is fitted with a Sony CD player with ipod socket. Rear parcel shelf blind is still in place and working.

Wheels have been refurbished and good tyres all round although one is a bit older than the others so could be replaced or swapped with the spare which is brand new.
Comes with a car bra nose warmer to keep the engine bay warm in winter and has removable sections to allow the headlights to open.

Bad Bits

Bubbling to rear arches.
Little bit of rust on sun roof.
I had to make the turbo down pipe myself and never got round to making or buying some gaskets so it blows a bit.
Low water level light stays on the dash board which did work so either a sticky switch or a break in the wire, either way a simple fix.
New fuel injection pump needs some kind of sound deadening as you can hear it inside the car.

Overall a great usable classic which is cheap to insure and fun to drive. I have described the car honestly and i know any buyer would be happy with its condition.

Yeh, looks like a nice car.

But it's been doing my 'ed in this morning. How come it's first of all in Nottingham; then I had it noted with Ramon down south. This morning I see it's back with it's original owner (but sporting TOOL's JDM)?

Someone explain the trail to a confused old git. I suspect you're going to tell me it's all been on here and I've missed it. Doooh.
