Nice work, the rear fog mod is well worth it.
Pretty please can I have a couple of clips?

Those little plastic things to hold the rod make such a difference
. I believe I replaced mine with an MX5 one which was exactly the same as OEM

Re: KIMI 3 - 1984 Series 3
I've been attending to some arch corrosion - happy I've cut out the problem and treated the area, but not 100% happy with my 1st attempt at the shaping and finish. It'll do for now, but will have a 2nd attempt to get a better result.

Re: KIMI 3 - 1984 Series 3
Did some more plating of spare carb pieces and other bits - reasonably happy with results. Yellow passivation better than my previous attempts!
One of the pieces before: Several bits after zinc plating and yellow passivation.

Re: KIMI 3 - 1984 Series 3
That is good Malcolm, a couple of coats of some colour polish over the top & as long as you do not tell anyone they will not notice, suggest you paint some old diesel engine oil on the inside of both arches & leave in hot sun to allow it to permeate into the area.
Good work on the Carb

Re: KIMI 3 - 1984 Series 3
Wooo-hooo - MOT pass today
I took the car in last Friday, knowing full well it would fail on some perforated metal on the floor behind the driver's seat. I asked the garage to quote for that repair, but put it through the MOT first, in case they found something else I was unaware of. Thankfully nothing else was found, not even any advisories, so an MOT fail followed by a small welding repair and a pass.
She's tucked up back in the garage for now. I'll just be taking her out for some runs over the winter, but only when the weather and roads are dry and free of salt.
Roll on the Spring, when hopefully there will be some meets/events running and covid-19 is under control.......

Re: KIMI 3 - 1984 Series 3
Not much to report, but a couple of satisfying little engine bay jobs done.
35 year old OEM fuel pipes in engine bay replaced, together with SS fuel clamps. TBF, there was some perishing of the old pipes at the ends:
But the centre of the pipes were fine:
