the factory introduced the series 3 from November 1983 and reset the vin to JMZFB13120070001

The Series 3 cars have '70xxxx' in the serial number run.
The changeover point was on cars registered sometime early 1984. So your brothers car and Thomas's car are both 1984 but different series.

You can easy control the production number and year. Look on seat belt label . Here is a picture from mine. I think your label is from 1983 or the number is a lot of smaller then mine.

Weight distribution should be around 40-45% front and 55-60% back. But we dont know until we can loan corner weight scales from a friend...
Yes, it has been long and rocky road. But its slowly coming together... But I´m really proud of my bro, he has basically done everything by himself...

Thats true. First you spend years and lots of money to car and then, in first race heat you completely destroy that car

Little update:
Ride height should be something like this. Unfortunatly, springs arent strong enough... But we think we have to cut that spoiler, maybe 10cm so we get more ride height and it wont get ripped off immediately...
Hmm... FB SUV...?
Bro desided to run front mounted afterall. Reconditioned FB´s with two electric fans. Now we are trying to figure out how to control air flow...
Slowly coming together. Not much to do. Electrics are giving us hard time. Wiper motor... aaaargh...
