Sat in my fb last night reading a bit of the manual while drinking bud, waiting for dizzy, rotor arm, plugs, leads and coils to turn up,
Hoping the new garage will be finished soon so I can start some serious work the wife is letting me buy a two post lift so I can get the 3 rx' s in there safe n sound plus get under for some work
Fitted my new coils and plugs tonight hoping it may actually start but still no joy, waiting on leads rotor arm and dizzy to come and then cross fingers some more, I have a normal compression tester lying round so I may do a comp test on it tomorrow to see if I'm facing the worst Gonna drink more bud and check the net I have a bottle of pink champagne in the cooler just waiting for the day it starts
The normal compression tester can really only do a rough 'woosh woosh woosh test on each rotar chamber as it spins past the plug hole. BUT BEWARE that the comp tester must not protrude into the chambers or you might damage the tip seals.
Gonna be a last resort if I can't get it started unless I can get someone out with the right tester but I'll keep trying to start it first would hate to cause damage if it turns out to be something else
