Good luck Malcolm getting that all back together, almost lucky not being able to nip down to the pub.

Another small but satisfying job on a nice sunny (lockdown) day :D

I've never liked the look of the amateurish rear fog lamp so decided to do something about it today:

After:

I used an red LED lamp in the driver side rear reversing slot for this, so decided to switch the reversing lamp on the other side for a white LED lamp at the same time:

A simple task, details to follow for anyone wanting to do this.

Here are the lamps I used, plenty of choice on Ebay:

The installation of the OEM fog light was pretty shoddy:
Cheap, non-auto connector:

The installer didn't even bother to route it via the grommet!!

It was a simple job to reroute the red fog lamp wire into the multiway rear light cluster connector, removing the red/white wire and crimp, inserting new female blade crimp. I even managed to get some new crimps that look almost identical to OEM (not that anyone is going to see it!) ;)

So is it just the bulb?
Or did you actually remove / cut out part of the rear cluster to make it fit?

Maybe I'm being stupid but it looks different in the photos.

Very simple, just the bulb change from white to red, and rerouting the fog lamp wire.

Another very minor task. The bonnet stay clip was broken when I bought the car. I found something that I thought should work on eBay - cost me £2.75 for TEN, so if anyone wants one, just let me know!

Before:

After:

20200529_180411.jpg

I had to use a Dremel grinding wheel to shave off about 1mm of plastic from two sides, but it's a snug fit into the chassis and a snug clamp onto the bonnet stay.

The simple things
