Re: New or refurbished radiator
New radiator looks good, but S3 models do not have an oil cooler underneath the radiator, they have the beehive instead, so your new radiator should be water only, no oil. If you have connected oil lines up to your new radiator I'd imagine you will have a milky mess

Re: New or refurbished radiator
James, have a look at the picture below you will see 2 small pipes connected to the bottom they are not connected to the upper radiator, I assume they are for a rudimentary oil cooler? Any other Ideas?

Re: New or refurbished radiator
All sealed off, Keith seems to think it is for the Auto gearbox Oil cooler feed, most plausible answer so far

Re: New or refurbished radiator
I was thinking of painting it Satin black but whilst trial fitting it looked good shiny, so I think it will stay Au NaturaleHobbawobba wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 6:21 pm That's the one! Auto tranny cooler it is. Looks well suited in your bay![]()

Ah that's a new one on me, never seen an automatic car myself!
I think leave bare ally, painting black can look nice and original but it won't work as efficiently
