On the move
Since my last optimistic post several things have changed. Firstly I moved from Auckland to Thames. A small ex gold mining town about an hour away. (In the 1860's for a while it was going to bigger than Auckland over 2,327,619 oz gold produced). My Brother in law also wanted the space back under his house. So time to move the car into a nice dry garage after 9 years. It looks good back on its wheels.
The paint is still looking good. It was painted in 1996 by a friend who has since passed away. Lots of osmosis and bubbling from areas not repainted at that point. Loaded on the trailer and well strapped down as the handbrake is not connected.
And then about 1 hour 30 to the final destination
I now have all the parts I need. I recently bought a set of new pre-owned springs (1 inch lower) as the ones installed had been cut by the previous owner before that was banned. I also have a welder and the steel to fix the rust. So I should at last finally really have some more to post soon.

Re: Red RX7 Resurrection
Thames looks like a lovely part of the world to live. A bit of a change from Auckland.
I see you have a trusty Toyota Surf for towing duties.
Can you give us a better photo of those wheels? They look interesting.

Enkei Racing Mags 6 JJ x 13
Need some TLC, but should scrub up OK for now. I have read of porosity in older mag wheels is this a real issue?.
The caps are in good condition.
Even with a trace of the original colour
The wheels need a good clean and new tyre valves and stems
Also getting some new lug bolts. Chrome is pealing and rusty. And you might note I don't have a full set. Used for trailering only.
