That was impressed with the result of 12A horsepower. It got more horsepower that a FD's too((without turbo)
EGI/turboII can open up alots more to release the true power.

Well done and properly to add 10/15HP more to come and torque will drop too.
200hp/200lb/ft is a idea target on 12A street.


There's no magic about it as it's old story.. good weber,exhaust and porting done by good hands/skill.

Yeah, like Apexheid says Ian, no magic, just canny porting by someone who's been doing it a long time and a well set-up carb/ignition combination. The un-named Rolls Royce technician who built the exhaust deserves a bow too, cos he made it spot-on to move a lot of gas away whilst still being small-bore enough to keep the speed up. We've got a trick to try on the exhaust later when it's all run in that hopefully will open up a bit more go.

As to what it sounds like on idle; at the moment it screws around a bit but it's smoothing out with every mile. But currently it bumps and farts around like a bridgeport Smooths out as soon as you're on the gas, fortunately

Weber do give a "flatspot" at about 2.500-3,750rpm on porting engine, It's depend on tuning....some that really bad and not bad.

It's a really big streetport of Jason at Super 7's own design. He learned his trade from his dad and carried on from there, so it's something he's arrived at over a pretty long time. Which means, of course, I can't show you any photos of the actual ports, much as I'd like to Suffice to say they're big. It does really brap, I wasn't exaggerating with the bridgeport thing! Despite that, it's not too bad on the road, given that there are still the rough patches you'd expect on a new engine. It really hates going onto a closed throttle, you have to trail the throttle even when slowing down or it bangs around but I'm getting the hang of what works and what doesn't! Premixing now, too, so it smells like my youth spent on two-stroke Yamahas One of the things I'm most pleased about is the difference the Energy Suspension bushes have made. It handles like go-kart now

I'm hoping mine will have a slightly lumpy idle too, I quite like the brap , brap, brap sound, brings back some good memories. Not sure my neighbours would agree on though
