if you can get a spare engine loom to dissect it's easy.... these are the connections at the plug on the inner wing... water temp 2 is the water temp sensor on the back of the water pump housing which controls the choke magnet.

Thanks Ian, that is a great help, I do have a few old looms, but worse case I could always make up a new one

I have now replaced the wiring loom with a thinned down version & removed the "Rats Nest":-
QUESTION? On the inlet I have only 1 connection point for the Advance/Retard Vac. I tried just connecting it to the Leading Vac & also both by using a Y connector & have not noticed any difference.................is there a best option?
The open space in the bay is now growing on me & having driven over 200 miles with them I do like the power delivery from low revs, the smooth acceleration/slowing down. Engine braking is non existent though.

I think that looks really great Pete.... I much prefer the clean look. My Elford also only has the one vac connection into the SU like yours which then splits with a Y coupler to each pot on the dizzy and mine works ok.

That looks great Pete
My vac lines aren't even connected so don't worry too much.

I like your functional detail work Pete. Never saw twin SU carb feeding an 12a rotary. Your outstanding car will be more and more exotic and in perfect condition.(c)

Never thought I'd actually want a SU setup on anything. Nice
