Cool....Where did you buy the MR2 and Stang shocks from? Would you recommend them? Do you think the adjustable option is worth it?
Thanks in advance for you help so far.

I ordered the Stang shocks from the US. The MR2 ones were Koni sport ones which I managed to get in the UK.
As for recommending them, they seem OK but ive only put about 30 miles on them since taking the car off the road and I had bottoming out issues at the time (which turned out to be the bumpstops) ... They are definitely a firmer and better ride than my old worn out stockers though.

Last question (maybe).......How did you find out about the Mustang and MR2 being direct swaps? Its a great find!

A lot of searching the Internet. Some good information on grassroots motorsport.

Finding physical interchanges isn't difficult, the challenge is in getting stuff to work together.
Someone has to spend the money, then the time, on trial-and-error.

I've got aw11 rears going in the front of my S3 and I swear I've read somewhere I need to put shock oil in the housing. Cant seem to find it again but I need to know if I'm going made or its true

I have KYB inserts & used Gear oil in mine, it deadens the noise & removes heat, they take very little oil

I've just installed new KYB inserts. Haynes manual says 13.7 cubic inches (225 ml) of shock oil. This is outrageously incorrect. Perhaps closer to 20ml.
In any case, I ended up placing the insert in the strut and very slowly pouring the shock oil around the edge. As Pete says, it takes very little.
