I'll reply on here haha. I can see how there are a few things needing some thought aye!
That makes sense bout bringing the flange to flange distance a bit closer together. Now would be the time to do that!
No point in blowing the rear end up if you can make a bit of money back also aye bro!

Re: 84GSLSE 13BREW Swap build
While in the swing of fiberglassing a sub box and stuff, I figured Id try my hand at making new door inserts... had a little vision and went for it
its not perfect but I think with some sanding to remove ripples and another thin coat itll work out...

1/8th masonite...
the door cup is the problem area as it actually sits inwards.... the factory has a larger hole than you see and carpet/fabric allowance, my goal is to set them in the car, set the door cup in and placed... then I am going to hard mount them into the new setup... that way I can eliminate the gap

Re: 84GSLSE 13BREW Swap build
door cards and stereo on hold (till my buddy is around again) so being that my new intercooler arrived last week I undertook what I figured would be a straight forward job... NOPE... thing is huge.. so had to get creative... had to cut and reweld the lower inlet on the radiator as the angle went to center of car and wouldve been impossible to fit a hose... I just worked a g-job at lunch (boss is off for a few days) and cut a cover to go from the center rail/hood mount thingo to radiator, I also made some brackets to weld on once its in position so the top of the assembly is stable.. so far its mounted on the mounts that came on the intercooler down lower but needs a tie in point up higher... I will use the upper bolts holes on radiator and weld the al brackets to the new plate I made once its bolted onto hood/rail thing.. pics to come will show it better... basically trying to figure out how to mount all this together etc I decided to weld the radiator to the IC.. 5-6 small welds so if the radiator ever needs to come out, small grind and out she comes.. but with all this change now all my ic plumbing needs to get done and I have a lot less room to make it all connect... but I will get r done

Re: 84GSLSE 13BREW Swap build
got some datalogs taken and sent to tuner... running lean under boost... thankfully its almost sorted..
full 17psi before 4000 rpm.... powerband kicks in again around 6500-7K... like a 2 stroke dirtbike... so new intercooler made it a new car...
the other night took it out with the wife for dinner....
pulling onto the highway into traffic I noticed what looked like 2 lines following the car thru 2nd gear hahaha... hmmmm yes its a different beast now..
