Josh....You've got to be able to get under it before buying. If that's not possible, walk away.
Look at the the guides on here re rust spots first. Vital to check the rear reinforcing plates to the chassis, the rear sills, the front chassis rails.....

Thank you for the advice dude, I will ask about that when I call to see if i can jack it up and have a look underneath.

bid up to £2,028.28..... that's a lot of dough for a project that's been off the road for 19 yrs...... and that was reserve not met :shock:

I take it the consensus on this was it would require a bag of work?

Almost impossible to judge it without seeing the underside.?

these cars nearly always rust from the ground up and inside out and hide their rust really well...... by the time the outside starts to look scabby you can bet that the shell is very corroded. This also means that even tidy looking cars need checking very carefully and also why resprayed cars need a photographic record to show their pre-respray condition and the work carried out..... cars needing minimum panel prep can be resprayed to look really tidy and a bit of underseal can hide underbody rust but beneath the shiny paint and underseal the rust is still there waiting to break through again.

This white car may well be clean and solid but who knows without getting underneath it and checking all the usual rust points..... have you checked out the forums guide to body corrosion?

IMO this car is worth a grand tops.... less maybe depending on how much work it needs.
