Not sure on the seller comments but is it not possible, bought for cheap, spent a decent amount on welding and paint, clean, service and sell. Wheeler dealer style....or am I being naive.

I went to see the car myself in South London and it was sitting in a front garden in a pile of mud and had green plants growing all over it. It looked like it had sat there for a couple of years
The seller was pretty keen to do a deal but obviously I gave it the swerve.
I thought the number plate looked familiar.

No, didn't know it was up for sale again.
It was in Tamworth (Ian you saw it there), then it went to York at the end of 2010

Good spot that man..... W(p

Yes, this car, C327MAU, was restored by a guy named Stu in Tamworth around 2010... Cliff and myself got to know him quite well. He liked his classic cars and did a good job of detailing them ( his Ferrari 328 was stunning) but Stu told me that he was disappointed with how this RX7 turned out. He had it fully resprayed and the paint finish was flawless.... unfortunately the prep in respect of rust treatment wasn't as good and a few months after the car was sprayed, some huge blisters came up under the paint on the roof by the rear sunroof drains.... it was a shame because it otherwise looked excellent. It was another case however of a shiny new paint job hiding deeper problems and a good as the car looked, who knows where the next rust bubble would pop up next.
This was all back in 2010 however so maybe a subsequent keeper has had the issues dealt with.

A new spot.....well ya can't spot 'em if they're shut up in a garage can ya?
Thanks for that.
But caution you bidders.....what's underneath that nice looking bodywork?
