any electrical gurus out there??

My car left me stranded last night... got it running again by jumpering the relay connection between 30/87

the symptom I am having (among other stupid electrical things) is the pump will switch/run on ACC... (Ive also wired it thru a toggle switch not the ecu - ecu stopped triggering it)

but as soon as I turn the key the fuel pump is turned off and relay wont work, but if I jumper it it runs the pump?

I briefly checked all the connections..

here is how it went down... took a drive to put some miles on the motor.. got about 38miles into the drive and I lost pump power... limped to side of freeway.. called the builder and (he had nothing to do with wiring the car) and he walked me thru making a jumper wire etc.. got it running and drove it home no issues - other than of course the pump has constant power...

what should I be looking for...?? any ideas... Im stumped as my electrical skills go as far as licking a 9V battery and get a zap... (sadly I have done a bunch of wiring so I have basic knowledge and have managed to get so far for now.. but when it comes to more depth in the understanding of it all... blank)

I would be tempted to just wire the Pump on a separate ignition circuit so that it goes on & off with the Key.

the pump was originally wired in thru the haltech ecu but the wire for some reason started not working right that trigger the relay.. so we skipped it from the ecu output and I actually have a toggle switch.. so it will run with key on only if switch is on...

the thing is the relay will work but as soon as I try to start it the relay cuts off and cuts the fuel pump power... but I can put a jumper wire right in and it runs the fuel pump.. oh and I can change the relay and itll run the pump - until I crank the key and it cuts it again... Ive tried good quality relays and cheap... same thing...

it just happened randomly so...

hopefully my neighbor is going to come by this week.. older retired guy who is an electronic and general mad scientist kinda guy... haha

I can run the car with the jumper in but not really how I want to do it...

Any more news on your issues at all? Have you checked all the wiring with a multimeter? When off/ign/running? That is a strange one

we replaced the wired in cut off switch... I think due to when I soldered it got a little to hot and messed up the internal solder.. things eventually gave loose...

we went thru and tested grounds, traced the relay wiring to pump etc, and ended up with the same setup... only it works... have put on about 300miles no issues...

Im a little over half way done with my break in miles...

My family arrives from Australia tonight for a month... there will be some workshop time as much as we can.. but also not.. haha

I have to figure out my rear storage setup so I can figure out the water/meth tank and pump setup mounted and wired so when Ive hit 1000 miles I can start turning up the boost with the tuning...

so far the things is a freakin beast even at 4000rpm and 3-4psi boost

No major updates.. my family is visiting from australia so we have been busy.. have been tinkering in the shop here and there, trying to get the water/meth setup ready for next stage of tuning.. I have about 750miles on the motor so itll be needing the injection at about 1000

Ive been making the rear cargo deck for mounting it all all and wanted access to wheel well for storage
