Could I ask what you used as the finish on it, is it Raptor Liner or something similar?

That the effect that I'm looking for.
Cheers, yeah it’s textured raptor - the 7 will get the same stuff.

Cheers James, I’m unsure about the other S1 as I haven’t had a chance to give it a proper prod. If it’s solid enough it could make a cool track car - it’s got a webasto sunroof which is annoying and it’s very rough and ready. I need a donor really as I’m toying with converting to right hand drive and it’s got a good uncut dash so in that respect maybe would be good for that. I haven’t seen my series 2 in ages as it’s in storage too and needs retrieving - last time I saw it when I moved house there was localised bubbling here and there. Perhaps a better candidate for donor metal, but then I’ve had that one the longest - probably 15 years now so there’s a certain attachment.

I’m blathering a bit, the short answer to your question is, I don’t know.

That rust should be no issue compared to the Porsche aye bro! Oh crap. I might get some of that reflective heat tape for my bonnet now

The whirry bit is finished. E shaft balanced, rotors weight matched - standard stuff really. Should sing pretty good with the bridge and quads.

Decided to run a 12A box for a minute as a) I can’t be arsed with modifying the prop/shifter housing/mount and b) I have everything here I need to build it with a 12A. What I don’t have is a GSL-SE sump so before I order one from the USA if anyone has or knows of one please shout. Thankings.

The 912 is on the road and survived the dyno, but we’re not here for that - she’s finally in. It’s her turn.

So with cuts of the back end taken from the donor to repair the rear hatch rot the first job is to get all the suspension off and stripped. I’ve got the coilovers so the struts can go in the spares pile, I’m keen to use a set of radial mount wilwood 4 pots I’ve got hanging about so will experiment with them to see if they’ll fit under the 14’s. I’m tempted with 4 link, but then again her interior is so good and original maybe this isn’t the one to do that on.

Looking forward to this, and after doing the 912 it’ll be refreshing to work on something I’ve already got a ‘relationship’ with and also doesn’t cost a gazillion pounds to buy parts for.

I still want some US spec rear lights.....
