The fuel tank sender wan't working, but it turned out to be a simply earthing issue to the top plate. Fised with a wired by-pass and tested OK:

The nearside axle oil seal had a horrible leak when I bought the car:

It was a nighmare to get the right sized replacement seal. Needed to be 55mm diameter. Had to buy several seals to get the correct one for a S2 axle (p/n 1312-33-065)

This was done a long time ago, when the car was on taxed and MOT'd and the leak never re-appeared, thankfully!

Not really sure what I'll do at the end of the restoration work. It was my first FB purchase (in 2011), then the opportunity arose to buy KIMI 2 (now sold) and KIMI 3 (which I use throughout the year). Might keep it as a runaround. After all, it's cheap to tax and insure, with no MOT needed either

Really nice work bro. Those dust shields get a bit crazy, along with the ducts in front aye

. Jamie had been sorting my ducts with fibreglass which seemed a good idea!

I would be interested in some fibreglass ducts! Mine are not in a good state, so currently removed whilst I think about what to do with them.
Keep me posted on progress please!
