Silly question, but where's the secondary injectors installed?
quality synthetic premix oil will not settle out ;)

New plugs have done the trick, got through the oily fuel and onto the good stuff.

ECU temp is acting weird, either really cold or super hot. Got the dash temp gauge wired back in and it's reading at about a third up, so hopefully ok.

So good to finally drive it again, even managed to get it up to a car meet this evening and made a JDM friend...

Good to hear. Keep some spare plugs in the car and the means to change them out.

Try changing out the temp sender to the ECU. Sounds suspect.
The factory temp gauge isn't reliable for determining whether you're at the right operating temp either. Just use it as an indicator.

The weird thing is that I've already changed the temp sensor for a new one and put a new wire from it to the the correct ecu pin. So a bit baffled by that.

New spare plugs and socket already in the boot, not going anywhere without them now.

I think piggybacking the cluster gauge off the same sensor will be altering the reading.

Yes, you only want the CTS feeding a signal to the ecu, anything else spured off it may corrupt the signal. Use a separate sensor for the guage.

is there another natural place to attach a sensor on the engine?

I also don't have the oil pressure sensor on my engine, can you run one from a sandwich plate off the oil filter?

Yes you can. It's a good location IMO. (disclaimer, other opinions may vary) :) Racing Beat do a good sandwich plate but there are many other aftermarket options.

Does the 12aT not retain the factory oil pressure sensor in the same place as the na 12a then?

Cool, will have a search about for one of them.

Certain 12a housings don't have the oil sensor in the usual place under the water temp, I did some forum searching a while back to make sure I wasn't going mad :)

stock coolant sensors on a 12a n/a are:
1x at the back of the water pump housing which controls the auto choke mechanism
1x on the rear iron just behind where the oil pressure switch sits... this sensor sends the signal to the temp gauge in the clocks.
Maybe your engine has a sensor in either of these locations?

Yeah it's the rear housing one I'm currently using for the the ECU and the clocks.
