It was actually Keith who suss'd it was TMX so I can't take the credit for that..... I'm pleased that that tosser Wyatt never got his hands on it and even more pleased that it's shown up on here. When I see how nice it is, I can understand how annoyed he was that he had sunk the deal by his behaviour...... makes it double sweet!!!

my 1st car was a Marina Coupe.... I sheared a pin off in the gearbox doing a Jim Rockford J-turn on Blackrock sands in Wales and had to drive 120 miles home in 3rd and 4th gear. It was a right shed....

Lol. J-turns in a Marina :o To be fair, it was a fantastic laugh in the fields at Ag college. My first rear-drive car, taught me a lot. It would crack the ton if you had no mechanical sympathy at all, but the brakes were so pitiful it took longer to slow back down than to get there in the first place  Definitely needed bravery pills when pressing on. Mind you, I paid 300 quid for it and the only work it needed was an exhaust (which was about £50 including the fanimold). Sold it three years later for 350 quid. Happy days 8-)

Now, be gentle.... this was me and it back in the days of black and white  You'll just have to take my word for it being British Racing Green

Well you looked cool Nik even if the car didn't!
The only photo I have of myself and my Marina is this one..... which is probably because I spent more time mending the bloody thing than I did driving it...

1983 so nearly 30 years ago.... I can still remember driving it as if it was yesterday... I put TC wheels and front grill on it and changed the front seats for recliners ( for obvious reasons... as I was only 18!) Bought it for £200 and couldn't believe my luck when I managed to sell it... and upgraded to a MKIV Cortina... a proper car!

the 80's was my era Stu..... I had bleached hair cut in a wedge, dressed like Don Johnson in Miami Vice and drove a Morris Marina... I must have looked a right dick! Had a great time though.

Lol, glad it keeps you amused  That would be Sisters of Mercy and Fields of the Nephilim, if you don't mind :P Wayne Hussey of the Mission was only the second best guitarist in the Sisters ;)

I had long blonde highlighted hair once & drove a 1.6 ford crapri, full richard grant bodykit, whaletail spoiler, blacked out windows & a fake tailpipe to look like a 3litre
Before that i drove a vomit inducing beige Austin Aggro with a square steering wheel, even worse than a Marina!

Not much hair left now!

I saw fields of nephilm & the mission on 22nd oct 2011 at brixton academy,EMI were recording & filming it,packed out 5500 peeps, the queue was around the block, not the building,G8 night, music top notch.
Saw some funny characters, one woman looked like she'd been exhumed years ago from her grave, her face was purple, eyes black & jet black lipstick, her boyfriend looked like marilyn manson too!

You may know craig adams[original som bassist] is now back with the mission,as is simon hinkler, the original mish guitarist.

The 80's were GRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT.!

Ian your hair could of been worse, remember that band 'flock of seagulls' if not look at em on you tube, hilarious, but some cool tracks

'If i had a photograph of you, just something to remind me' one of their lines.

Never could stand shoulder pads on women though & hair that looked like static pubes!
