So tonight's update is a bit boring. I have absolutely no energy. Between this project and full time work and school, I'm pretty tired. But the show must go on!!!!!

So this little bastard ruins life's and tears apart families. I know I could just unscrew it, but the bolt is seized and I don't feel like breaking out my impact driver just for this.
Image

The master cylinder is out. I don't know if I will remove the lines and rest of the harness so I can paint the bay. I might just leave it how it is and try to clean it up.
Image

It is really hard to tell, but I started to polish all the metal accents on the car. I think it will be a nice touch to break up the car after it's painted. I'm painting it black. As much as I love the color, I feel like it can be boring at times.
Image

I need to buy some metal polish and probably sand it more. The lighting is also crap so it's hard to tell.
Image

Yes, definitely needs more sanding.

Oh and I finally have music!!

If you did 17x9 what offset would you run. I did a quick search a bit ago and I heard et0 is okay for the rear. Maybe 15x9 front and rear with +15 up front and 0 in the rear.
To me, trying to plan wheels is a mistake. First is choosing your suspension mods and rear axle upgrades, then using a WleelMate to see what'll fit, then finding the closest thing that fits the budget.
Some years ago, I had, and submitted, the bright idea of cheap steel wheels in a 17x9 so IROC-Z guys could afford to upgrade from stock 16x8s. About a year later, Cragar did it! I got no royalty money, however. Curse them. But now both they and BlackRock offer cheap zero-offset 17x9s in the common and popular 5x4.5" lug pattern, and they offer a -13 offset that may be worthless to this application, but it proves that places like Stockton wheel can cheaply alter the wheels to a +13 offset if needed. Steel may be heavy, but sometimes its a small price to pay. Especially if you slide the car into a curb. Aluminum wheels will break, but steel just bends, so you can probably keep driving to a safe place for changing on the spare tire. So that's my thinking.
As for 15x9s, I'm not aware of many, and they're megabucks. 15x8s are common and cheap, in every possible offset, for 5 on 4.5". 15x10s are just as doable.

Diamond racing wheels makes all kinds of steel wheels in varying sizes and offsets. Rota also makes a ton of knock off wheels. I was planning on going with their watanabe or volk te37 knock offs. They offer them in 15x9. I just don't really like the look of a steel wheel. If I manage to break a rota, they're cheap enough to replace. It something like 160/wheel. No sweat lol.

So...yet another small update. I did more sanding (which doesn't really need a picture) and started to prime stuff.

Got this fender primed with high build. There is 2 small spots where some body filler had air pockets so I need to fill them. There is also a small dent, I don't know if I care enough to fix it. Also test fitted a flare; however, something just seems a bit off.

Got that chrome shit off. I actually scrapped most of the adhesive too, but didn't take a picture of it. I used 3m general adhesive remover and it did not take the glue off. There is one more cleaner I am going to try and if that fails too then I will resort to drastic measure and hit up my local paint and body supply store lol.

So I didn't do anymore sanding and used Lucas' metal polish. It turned out pretty nice!

Look a thumbs up!

I liked the idea of high-build filler primer, until it tripled the rate at which I went through sandpaper. So I switched to a sealer primer, much better all around. Nice results, less aggravation. Finished mine with 400-grit as my painter guy instructed.

I wet sand with 400 before I lay down anything. Easier clean up and paper lasts a lot longer.

Oh my goodness! Daylight! lol

Buddy of mine checking out the sweet chrome

Anyways, the whole reason the car got to see daylight today was so we could turn it around and remove the engine, which is already sold btw :)

Well I need to clean the engine bay again. I don't know what possessed me to do it in the first place, I knew it was going to get covered in paint dust.
Image

Goofy ass me just being stupid. Oh and....I CAME IN LIKE A WRECKING BALL!!!!!
Image

So my buddy that was helping me has a giant black garbage bag full of styrofoam heads in one of his units...Don't ask me how this came about.

Heads would be a cool accessory. On some of the motorways and city roads in UK there are 'Car Sharing' lanes.
You have to have more than one person in the car to drive in them.
No one would think those heads aren't real people.

Oh and your in car entertainment iPhone looks a bit wasted to me......is that how they say it on CSI?

Lol I'm not too sure I don't watch CSI. That's actually an Ipod I found in my last car when I was cleaning it out. Found it with a broken screen, but in working condition.
