I can well believe it...... my first RX7 that I bought back in 1988 was a series 1 that was originally that bright metallic green colour that many series 1 cars came in and it had a brown interior. A few months before I bought it, the guy who owned it also owned a bodyshop and he gave the car a full respray in black 2 pack.
It looked sensational at the time...... I hated the green colour but I only really saw it if I lifted the carpets etc..... but the black looked the biz.... I bet loads of green s1's got resprayed as it was really a 70's colour and dated pretty quickly...... funnily enough, we all seem to like it these days....

Welcome along Lee. What a fantastic Series 1 you have. There are many in this forum who would gladly donate body parts to find one in that condition

And welcome also to the little collective of Sunrise Red RX7's. Sunrise Red is the new .. errr ... red!

A Ha.....not quite a new spot. I had a possible S1 noted on my files in Whitstable from 2004. You posted I think on the Mazda Rotary Site or in their newsletter that year?
In those days my ability to access data easily wasn't so good and since I had no Reg number with the post, it got put to one side and not put on the Location List. Sorry about that.
But now you're up there with the other 9 or 10 Series 1's actually running Lee, fully logged and properly noted.
codge
For Info there are now 41 Series 1's on my files but the other 30 or so are project cars or SORNed.

Thanks Codge very helpfull. I'm really touched by the reaction to the posting of my Pride and Joy it has given me a new lease of life to make sure that she stays that way and hopefully one day becomes the Last one left on the road!! Is there anyway I could find out if mine is the best condition wise? There can't be many left like it and with such a low milage on the clock. Also I have a guaranteed value of £5,000 with my Insurance Company which I have self certificated. I am wondering now if I should get a value from a Profesional Valuer to maybe increae the value, any advice?

I'd say £5000 / £6000 is about on the button for Agreed Value. Our Series 3 is on AV for £6000, 55,000 miles, one owner from new (but late registered).
Many of the other 9 or 10 running S1's are rally cars or really breathed on (heavily modded) cars. Only a couple of roadgoing cars in standard condition.
Includes all the British Isles. (Some in N. Ireland and Eire).
But S1's are uber desirable cars for the folks on here!
