looks fantastic ian.
that lift is very handy.

are you going to spray oil/grease into the inner panels, doors, rear, inner chassis rails, keep the damp/rust at bay.

Yes, I am at some point Ronnie..... probably a job for next winter... I've got a queue of jobs waiting to be done on the lift at the moment. It's a very handy thing to have... I did the brake pads on the wifes SLK this morning then the axle on the FB. I'm also doing some work on the MR2 and a front suspension rebuild on the XJR ..... jobs that are just so much easier with a lift.
I need a few tools to go with it though like a transmission jack and a tool trolley.... stuff I wouldn't normally need without a lift.

sounds like you have a new career as a motor mechanic lol.
but it saves alot of money/time in getting work done when you have your own lift.

mechanics i go to are always booked up to their eyes so having your own lift is very handy.

all in and done... just need some LSD diff oil now before I can hit the road. As long as everything is ok, I'm going to book it in to get the wheel alignment done..... this car had dire handling prior to me polybushing the rear suspension and fitting this lsd so hopefully now with new parts and if I get it set up properly, it should drive ok.

Well, my lsd diff oil arrived today so I was finally able to fill up the diff and take this car for a drive........ holy moly, the difference in it is unbelievable....... the way it puts the power down now and bites into the road is just awesome. Before the handling was horrible and it felt like the car was going to lose grip at any moment, even at low speeds..... now it feels like it'll grip the road forever... the harder I push it, the more it seems to dig in and if I boot it off the line, it just goes..... no more snaking all over the road.
A combination of a free moving rear suspension, poly bushes and the LSD has really done the business.... happy days :D :D :D

if you are thinking about getting a LSD for your car.....

it was actually manufactured in 1985, the year all first gen production ended but it wasn't sold and registered on the road until 1986.... in the UK we tend to refer to cars age by the date of registration, rather than manufacture.

The difference is like night and day. They're great! I'll be sharing some more LSD developments shortly as well.
